Born and raised in Makassar, Indonesia, Liku Layuk Allo is a medical school graduate and a geek by heart. 

She created Piece of Grey, her personal blog, in 2009, for the sake of improving her writing in English, but slowly realized that writing is her form of self-therapy. As an introvert herself, she feels  the comfort of writing rather than anything else. Since then she continued to share her life stories, her experiences, her reviews, her thoughts, self-made poems and proses.. or anything she would not tell anyone in real life. 

In her study years, Liku was an active member of AMSA (Asian Medical Students Association). She represented her university in AMSA national meetings in Indonesia, and also became one of the representatives for short-term student exchange program in Manila, Philippines.

In 2015, Liku created a trip adviser and planner named Wanderlust Project, together with her three friends. 

Also in 2015, Liku won a third place for essay competition held by local government in her town. 

Besides writing and traveling, Liku loves to listen to ballad, jazz music and watch movies. 

Liku always believe in the power of words. Piece of Grey aims to empower and inspire women to rise above the stigma, living free, and hopefully, helping people in general through her stories.

At the moment, Liku is focusing on expanding her small business and working as General Practitioner. Despite her background, Liku's genuine passions are to go around the world, publish her own book, and live peacefully with her dog.
